Celebration of World Oceans Day 2017 at the MOI
The 2017 World Oceans Day is being celebrated over two days (8th and 9th June) by the Mauritius Oceanography Institute. The inauguration of the new Office and Laboratory complex of Mauritius Oceanography Institute in Albion and the launching of the new MOI Website took place on the 8th June. Foreign and local dignitaries present on that occasion were invited to visit exhibition booths and MOI Research Facilities.
The programme for the 9th June includes a series of activities at the new MOI complex, namely: visit of multi stakeholder exhibits and displays, short films viewing on marine related activities and presentations. The target audience being secondary school and tertiary students from the different regions of the island.
