The Mauritius Oceanography Institute (MOI), a parastatal body under the aegis of the Ministry of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy and Fisheries is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates who wish to be considered for the appointment of the following posts on a Permanent and Pensionable basis:
A. Public Advertisements
(i) Associate Research Scientist, view Scheme of Service
(ii) Accounts Clerk, view Scheme of Service
(iii) Management Support Officer, view Scheme of Service
(iv) Technical Assistant/Senior Technical Assistant, view Scheme of Service
(v) Laboratory Attendant, view Scheme of Service
(vi) Handy Worker (skilled), view Scheme of Service
B. For Serving Officers only within the Public Service and Parastatal Bodies
(i) Internal Control Officer/Senior Internal Control Officer (ICO/SICO), view Scheme of Service
(ii) Assistant Procurement and Supply Officer (APSO) view Scheme of Service
Age Limit for Public Advertisements
For post (i) to post (v), candidates should not have reached their 45th birthday by the closing date of this advertisement.
For post (vi), candidates should not have reached their 48th birthday by the closing date of this advertisement.
Note
For Post B (i) Internal Control Officer/Senior Internal Control Officer (ICO/SICO), salary is negotiable which will be commensurate to proven relevant experience within the existing salary scale of the above mentioned post at the MOI.
Mode of Application and Closing Date

- Completed application forms should reach the Director, Mauritius Oceanography Institute, Avenue des Anchois, Morcellement de Chazal, 91005, Albion, Republic of Mauritius not later than Tuesday 13 May 2025 by 16:00 hours through registered post and proof of postmark will be noted.
- The post applied for should be clearly marked as appropriate, in the top left hand corner of the envelope .
- For Post B (i) ICO/SICO and post B (ii) APSO: Applications should be submitted in duplicate, the original to be sent directly to the Director, Mauritius Oceanography Institute and the duplicate through their respective Supervising/Responsible Officer.
- Candidates should produce written evidence of qualifications and of knowledge claimed.
- The copies of birth and educational certificates should be submitted together with the MOI Application Form, however, applicants should produce the originals if and when called upon to do so.
- Applications not made on the MOI Application Form will not be accepted. Incomplete, inadequate or inaccurate filling of the Application Form may entail elimination of the candidate.
- Applications received after the closing date and time will not be considered.
